Hi I’m Destiny Albrecht and I am in my second year of journalism. It’s been my dream to be a writer since I watched Gilmore Girls on Netflix when I was in 5th grade. I’m excited to improve my reporting overtime, and I can’t wait for you guys to read my articles! I want to go to college for an English degree and get hands-on experience with the school paper or an internship nearby. Some other things that I show interest in is reading and hanging out with my friends and family. I play field hockey for Edwardsville High School and have been working at Books A Million for about a year. I have 2 brothers that have shaped me into who I am now. Babysitting them quite a lot taught me to be responsible at a young age. My mom is one of my best friends and we absolutely love going to concerts together! We have seen Harry Styles, who I love (if you know me, you know how obsessed I am), as well as 5 Seconds of Summer and Taylor Swift. My dad is a hard worker who supports our family, and I love him very much! I also want to travel to many different countries including Paris, Australia, Ireland, Greece, Italy, Canada, Iceland and Brazil. Anyways, it’s exciting to be writing for you guys and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
