Never Fear, Tolia is Here (With Tips for Cheap Fun)

Whether it’s summer or winter, or in our case warm or slightly less warm, there is always something to do. Boredom comes easily these days, and staying active is good for your health. Many a time though, people end up sitting around indoors or doing something average (like basket weaving) due to a lack of ideas and minimal funds. But there may be hope yet. Fun doesn’t have to devour your life savings.

First of all, you will need to decide what kind of adventure you desire to experience. Are you looking for some fun with friends or a (possibly romantic) date? Once you at least know what general direction you want the day to go, things get easier. All you need are some ideas. Even on a low budget, they are still oodles of good times waiting to be had.

Switch it up! Bicycling or rollerblading with friends is a fun and healthy activity. Ice-skating would have been especially popular around this time of the year. The point is that you don’t have to just sit around when there’s nothing to do. Seriously, make something up! Build a blanket fort or make a cardboard car and mess with the people in a drive-thru. If you get really bored, in the case of a emergency, you could dress up and have a lightsaber duel in a heavily traveled area.

One thing to remember on a date is that it usually doesn’t matter what you’re doing, as long as you are there together.

In other words, taking someone to a fancy restaurant and the opera can be just as fun as a picnic in the park and star-gazing.

Don’t be afraid to get creative. You could climb trees and take silly photographs. Walk around Main Street and drink hot chocolate. You could drink coffee, but although it may be delicious, it just might stunt your growth. Results may vary.

Don‘t let boredom get you down in the winter blues. Sunshine provides vitamin D, which gives you energy and a lighter mood. If running around outside is boring, make it fun. Add a bunch of glow sticks and water balloons and you’ve got the makings of a very interesting game of midnight tag. Life is what you make it, so make it fun!
