Take a Bite Out of That: Apple Releases New Products

Apple is at it again. What once was only a fruit is now one of the world’s most booming technology companies and due to the public demand, new products are being released left and right. The newest on the market include the iPhone 5c and the iPhone 5s, along with the new iOS 7 update that will soon become available for all iPhone users.

The iPhone 5c has brought color to the industry, unlike any other iPhone before it. Apple narrowed the options down to five color choices: white, green, blue, yellow and pink. Color is used to define people, so it only made sense to Apple that it would be used in phone design. “It’s not just for the lovers of color. It’s for the colorful,” Apple said.

Although similar to the original iPhone 5, color was not possible with metal protecting the phone. Instead, Apple redesigned the shell so that it was a strong plastic, supported by a steel frame. “This structural integrity makes iPhone 5c pleasingly solid to the touch—unlike any plastic phone you’ve ever held,” Apple said.

Not only has the iPhone 5c brought something new to the table, but the iPhone 5s has provided an even higher level of advanced technology to “wow” the public. Along with being offered in gold, silver and gray, the iPhone 5s contains a fingerprint identity sensor located on the home button. This sensor is intended to be a more convenient way of accessing your phone.

“You check your iPhone dozens and dozens of times a day, probably more,” Apple said. “Entering a passcode each time just slows you down.”

The fingerprint sensor can also be used to make purchases in iTunes and the App Store. It’s capable of a 360-degree readability which means no matter what direction your phone is facing, your fingerprint will be recognized. An even neater feature of the phone is that fingerprints of those close to you that you trust can be entered so that they will also have access to your phone.

Other iPhone 5s features include fast LTE wireless, improved FaceTime quality, a redesigned iSight camera, an A7 chip and an M7 processor. The iPhone 5s is a whole new experience for iPhone users.

Lastly, the iOS 7 is expected to become available to all iPhone users in the near future. According to Apple’s website, they were striving for simplicity in the new design. “It’s about offering up the right things, in the right place, right where you need them,” Apple said. “It’s about bringing order to complexity.”

This update provides a whole new structure for the phone along with providing a sense of dimension. Apple values utility above all else. “With iOS 7, we took something millions of people already love and refined the experience to make it even more effortless and useful.”
