Apple’s Progression Displayed in Newest Software

In this day and age, it’s rare to spot a person in public not carrying a cell phone. Some are talking, some are texting with their thumbs moving at hyper-speed and maybe even FaceTiming.

Technology does not stop evolving as the years progress. Companies come out with new, rather expensive, products for the public constantly.

Apple, for example, just released the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus this past fall. Not only does this company reveal a new phone every year or two, but they recently started to create new iOS software each time, currently iOS 8. Doing this gives the phone a whole new look, not only on the outside, but also internally.

The iPhone 6 is thinner than the iPhone 5 and slightly taller and wider. With a much better camera, just one great feature of the phone, the 6 tops the 5 with the ability to capture 1080p HD pictures and video.

iPhones tend to keep increasing in size and decreasing in thickness. Apple decided to go big with one of the new iPhones, literally. The iPhone 6 Plus is so large it might not even fit in your pocket. Some users have heard that it bends randomly, but actually, it only would bend or break if you sit on it.

At 5.5 inches tall, the 6 Plus is very comparable to previously released Androids. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is actually smaller than the 6 Plus at 5.1 inches.

I don’t quite understand what would draw a person towards a cell phone so big it looks like you’re holding an iPad to your ear, but everyone has their reasons.

According to cultofmac.com, you can “toss your tablets” because the iPhone 6 Plus actually has a faster CPU than Apple’s iPad Air and iPad Mini. Some iPad-exclusive features are available now on the 6 Plus, including horizontal apps with more content and a horizontal homescreen.

It seemed like the idea of iPhones used to be the smaller, the better, but now they’re starting to resemble Androids more than ever.

Especially with the old iOS 7 and new iOS 8, Apple is moving more towards the creative side and less towards the plain, organized software. Androids are still much more customizable than iPhones, but who knows; soon enough Android phones and Apple phones could be twins.
