Talented Tigers to Dazzle Crowds

Float like a butterfly, sting like bee or better yet: roar like a tiger. EHS students have begun preparing to showcase their skills for Student Council’s talent show.

Plenty of singers and songstresses are warming up their pipes, like junior Brook Lunn, who will be playing the piano as well. “I plant to prepare by practicing piano a lot, and of course singing to my lovely shower as always,” Lunn said.

While many musicians comprise the line-up, a few hidden gems have made the roster.

Seniors Morgan Bennet, Katie Shawshack and Tessa Wagner will be performing a dance number as the “Cheetah Girls.” “We are very excited to have some fun and show our parents that we do have talent!” Wagner said. “We plan to get all of our dance in sync and keep shining…but also be fierce—we are the cheetah girls.”

Paying homage to the glory days of Raven Simone, this fierce threesome could not be more excited to show EHS their “umph.”

Keep an eye out for seniors Jack Desse and Maggie Perkins, who will be performing a duet together. “I love singing with Jack and I wouldn’t have auditioned without him,” Perkins said.

The two, while a little nervous, are more than ready to take on the stage. “We’re gonna run the song until we can’t stand it anymore,” Desse said. “At that point, we should have it down. EHS, be ready.”

On the night of the show, the audience should expect stellar performances from these talented tigers, according to Student Council President Emily Mosby. “It’s going to be a unique program—EHS students are tremendously talented and creative,” Mosby said, “and they’re ready to be on a great show!”

The Talent Show will be held on January 14, 2014.
