On February 8, a rivalry as old as the EdwardsvilleHigh School is going to be revisited when the boys’ basketball team takes on the Planet Granite’s “Warriors.”

Earlier in the season, the boys’ basketball team defeated Granite City in an away game with a score of 75-53. The win was a historic victory for Edwardsville coach Mike Waldo. He earned his 500^th victory against Granite City.

With a record of 19-1, the Tigers are sure to come out and beat Granite City down. So, come out and support your school team, because it’s sure to be a good game. Wear school colors and be ready to scream at the top of your lungs.

Connor Wright is a Senior at Edwardsville High School. He enjoys playing soccer for EHS as well as writing for the Tiger Times in Journalism 2. Connor was born on May 9,1996 and has matured into a spontaneous young man. He plans to pursue a double major in journalistic writing and Biblical Studies with a minor in Spanish. He is looking at colleges right now and perfers to attend a Christian university such as Liberty University, Union, or Wake Forest. He enjoys the company of his friends and family.
