The EHS Boys Swim Team hosted its senior night last Saturday at the Chuck Fruit Aquatic Center. The Tigers found their footing against their opponent, Springfield, winning 123-60.

The team honored seniors Noah May, Porter LeVasseur, Matthew Mendez and Evan Williams.

“All the seniors were announced and handed a flower and went out to the middle of the pool,”  Mendez said. “It was a pretty cool experience.”

May and LeVasseur both won first place in their events, the 200-yard individual medley and 50-yard freestyle respectively.

“The 50 is a race all about preparation. You can’t think during it. You just go,” Levasseur said. “I was telling myself to nail the turn and pop off the wall.”

With this win, the Tigers have only one regular season meet before sectionals

“I feel like our chances of winning at sectionals are pretty high right now,” junior Logan Mills said. “The team is the best it’s been in a while.”

EHS will host the sectional meet on Feb. 16 at the Chuck Fruit Aquatic Center.
