STL Concerts: Who’s Coming to Town?

Trippie Redd:

Trippie’s Life’s a Trip tour will kick off at Pops Concert Venue in Sauget, IL on Jan. 26.

Trippie Redd had recently dropped his opening act of Travis Scott’s Astroworld tour due to his delayed showtimes and elaborate stage setup.

Sophomore Abby Lusk, who has been a Trippie fan since middle school, is most excited to hear “It Takes Time.”

“It’s one of his older songs,” she said. “I’ve listened to it since the day he came out and I can’t wait to see him perform it live.”

Panic at the Disco!:

The Las Vegas Rock Band will be coming to the Enterprise center on Feb. 5.

Panic at the Disco! released Pray for the Wicked in June of last year, and many EHS fans have been waiting for them to come to town.

“As much as I love the new album, I hope they play some old ones as well,” senior Emma Hensley said. “I’ve been trying to go to a panic concert since middle school, so no matter what it’s gonna be awesome.”

Travis Scott:

The third location for the second half of the Astroworld tour will be the Enterprise Center on Feb. 18. Nosebleed tickets cost upwards of $50, so this concert is not the cheapest option.

However, Travis Scott’s Astroworld was one of the best albums of 2018, and his elaborate stage setup includes a roller coaster. Fans will be entertained with not just his music, but his performance as a whole.

Travis will be bringing Sheck Wes, and there is always the potential of more stars being in attendance. I mean, it is a Travis concert.

“I have seen so many of his concerts videos and they look so hyped,” sophomore August Ginarris said. “It will be one of the best times of my life.”

Wiz Khalifa:

If you’re looking for a more cheap option to a hip-hop concert, then Wiz Khalifa at the Pageant on Feb. 19 is perfect for you.

With the release of Rolling Papers 2, the concert will feature many new songs from Wiz, and of course old classics like “Young, Wild and Free.” And the tickets are only $35.

Tagging along with Wiz will be New Orleans rapper Curren$y, who has appeared on many Wiz tracks like “House in the Hills” and “Rooftops.”

“I’m excited to hear one of my favorite artists perform live,” junior Owen Lappe said. “Especially with some of my best friends.”
