Have you seen a kid around school recently and thought “What the heck are you wearing?” Well don’t be alarmed, we all have.
Everyone has their own style, and hey, that’s totally fine. But when the temperature falls in the teens, shorts or flip flops probably won’t do.
When I see a kid wearing a T-shirt and athletic shorts in the freezing cold, I’m not exactly sure what went through their mind that morning. Would it kill you to put on a jacket? Maybe even some pants? I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me that thinks it’s a tad bit strange to wear summer clothes in the freezing winter months.
While the best thing to do during winter is stay warm, I don’t suggest keeping your giant, puffy, winter coat on inside the school building all day. The heat is on at school and sometimes it gets overly hot anyway. You would sweat to death wearing a winter coat inside of a heated building for hours. Every student has a locker, so maybe leave your coat in there rather than overheat yourself. Just a thought.
On the other hand, a NorthFace coat/jacket tends to be very popular during the colder times. NorthFace has a variety of different styles and colors, but depending on the version you have, it can sometimes be handy to wear that as your coat and keep it on all day at the same time. Many people’s outfits at school consist of a T-shirt, jeans and a NorthFace. While a puffy coat would make you extremely warm, a NorthFace can keep you at a comfortable temperature in the freezing weather as well as inside the school. For people who would rather keep their coats on all day, this is probably a better option instead of an arctic-style coat.
A winter trend that everyone on the planet knows about is Ugg boots. Not to make a generalization, but more than half the girls at school wear them. Uggs are warm, rather classic, winter boots. I wear them because, while they might not be the most attractive shoes out there, they sure are comfortable.
The list of different winter trends from these past few months goes on and on. What other people wear certainly shouldn’t affect you in any way, but maybe help a friend out if you think they can change something in their winter-wear to make them more comfortable, more “stylish” or whatever the situation may be.
