With a decline in sales the past seven straight quarters, according the New Jersey Daily Record, McDonalds thinks it has found a way to attempt to boost sales.

Starting Oct. 6 McDonalds will start serving breakfast items all day nationwide.

For now the popular fast food chain will only be selling certain breakfast items, such as the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese McGriddle or hash browns.

Senior Hannah Miracle, whose favorite fast food breakfast is McDonalds, is ready for the change regardless of what items are on the menu.

“I’ve been waiting for this forever.  At first I was super excited but now I’m realizing that I’ve lost my only motivation to get out of bed before 10:30,” she said.

Junior Beau Lewis was on board with Miracle until he started to look at this change from a more technical side.

“Initially I was like ‘Yay!’ but I took a moment to think about it and my opinions changed,” Lewis said. “I thought about how much the menu could possibly grow and they can’t possibly make all that food by hand in a fast food manner, so service and/or food quality could decline.”

Others are indifferent about the sudden change of course, but understand why McDonalds would decide to make the change.

“I don’t really eat at McDonalds, but I’d probably be more likely to eat a Sausage McMuffin at 10 p.m. than at 8 a.m., so it’s a good move on their part,” senior Cale Ambuehl said.

Senior Caroline Caton is also part of the indifferent pack when it comes to all day breakfast.

“I don’t personally eat it because I think it’s gross, but I think it’s awesome for the people that do. They’ll definitely get more business.”
