As a month of killer clowns, Lego ninjas, and American assassins comes to an end, a new era begins. The big screen, though it excited some – month of September – disappointed others.

Hopefully come October, film releases will fail to disappoint moviegoers.  

In this upcoming month, movies of a wide variety will be coming to theaters.

Oct. 6 a drama starring Kate Winslet and Idris Elba entitled “The Mountain Between Us” will be released. It follows the pair on a perilous journey as they attempt to survive a plane crash in the mountains.

For fans of suspense, the film “Happy Death Day” arrives on Oct 13. Though it’s geared towards teens, this frightening flick is likely to terrify attendees of all ages.

In the realm of long awaited sequels, “Blade Runner 2049” (a sequel taken place thirty five years after the original) opens Oct 6. Science fiction fans everywhere will be able to see Agent Deckard continue his odyssey.

Finally, for fans of real stories about humanity, comes “Only the Brave” opening Oct 30. This film follows the true stories of extraordinary firefighters who face intense odds.

Whether you be a fan of history, horror, romance, or science fiction, it seems that the big screen will have something to offer come October.
